Bio-SAH 322 is a liquid polycarbodiimide-based hydrolysis stabilizer developed for polyester-based polymers and adhesive formulations. Materials such as polyurethane (PU, TPU, CPU), biodegradable polymers like PLA, and EVA are prone to hydrolytic degradation due to the presence of ester groups in their molecular structure. Under conditions of heat, humidity, or long-term environmental exposure, these materials can undergo chain scission, leading to reduced molecular weight, loss of mechanical properties, and decreased product performance.
Bio-SAH 322 provides an efficient and reliable solution by stabilizing polymer structures against hydrolysis. Its liquid form offers significant advantages in processing, including easier handling, faster dispersion, and better compatibility with both solvent-based and reactive systems.
Liquid form for easy dosing and uniform dispersion
High-efficiency hydrolysis stabilization via carbodiimide chemistry
Excellent compatibility with polyester-based polymers and adhesives
Improves durability and mechanical property retention
Enhances resistance to moisture and heat
Suitable for both thermoplastic and reactive systems
Bio-SAH 322 is widely used in:
Polyurethane systems (PU, TPU, CPU)
Adhesives and sealants (solvent-based and reactive systems)
Biodegradable polymers such as PLA
EVA-based materials
Coatings and flexible polymer applications exposed to humidity
Bio-SAH 322 contains reactive carbodiimide functional groups that selectively react with carboxylic acid end groups generated during hydrolysis. This reaction forms stable N-acylurea structures, effectively eliminating the catalytic sites responsible for further degradation. By interrupting the autocatalytic hydrolysis cycle, the additive preserves molecular weight and maintains long-term material performance.
Recommended dosage: typically 0.5% – 2.0% depending on formulation
Can be added directly into liquid systems or during compounding
Suitable for mixing, coating, extrusion, and adhesive formulation processes
Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and air. Keep container tightly sealed after use. Follow standard safety procedures during handling.
