Bio-SAH 342 Liquid is a high-performance liquid polycarbodiimide hydrolysis stabilizer developed for moisture-sensitive polymer systems, especially polyurethane and biodegradable polyesters. Compared with traditional solid stabilizers, its liquid form offers superior ease of handling, faster dispersion, and better compatibility with liquid or solution-based systems. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring uniform distribution and efficient processing.
Polyurethane materials and biodegradable polymers such as PBAT and PLA are prone to hydrolytic degradation due to ester linkages in their molecular structure. Under conditions of humidity, heat, or long-term environmental exposure, these materials can suffer from molecular weight reduction, mechanical property loss, and surface degradation. Bio-SAH 342 Liquid effectively addresses these challenges by providing long-term hydrolysis protection.

Bio-SAH 342 Liquid contains reactive carbodiimide functional groups that selectively react with carboxylic acid end groups formed during hydrolysis. This reaction generates stable N-acylurea structures, effectively blocking the autocatalytic degradation process. As a result, polymer chain scission is significantly reduced, and long-term stability is enhanced even under harsh environmental conditions.
Recommended dosage: 0.5% – 2.0% depending on formulation and performance requirements
