Bio-SAH 362 Powder is a high-performance monomeric carbodiimide hydrolysis stabilizer widely used in condensation polymers and engineering plastics. As a representative anti-hydrolysis agent, it offers excellent reactivity toward carboxylic end groups, effectively preventing hydrolytic degradation in materials containing ester or amide linkages.
In addition to traditional incorporation during compounding or polymer processing, Bio-SAH 362 can also be applied through an impregnation process. This method provides an alternative and highly effective way to introduce hydrolysis resistance into finished or semi-finished materials.
Monomeric carbodiimide with high purity and strong reactivity
Dual application methods: compounding and impregnation
Forms internal protective structure after treatment
Enhances long-term resistance to moisture and hydrolysis
Suitable for a wide range of engineering plastics and polyester systems
Powder form adaptable to solution preparation
Bio-SAH 362 Powder is suitable for:
Polyester materials (PET, PBT)
Polyamide (PA) engineering plastics
Polyester polyol-based systems
Modified engineering plastics and compounds
Materials requiring post-treatment hydrolysis protection
In certain applications, Bio-SAH 362 can be applied by an impregnation process:
The material is immersed or soaked in a solution containing the stabilizer
The stabilizer diffuses into the material structure
After drying, the active carbodiimide forms a protective layer within the material
This internal protection mechanism significantly enhances resistance to hydrolysis without requiring changes to the original formulation or processing conditions.
The monomeric carbodiimide reacts with carboxylic acid groups generated during hydrolysis, forming stable N-acylurea linkages. This reaction eliminates catalytic degradation sites and interrupts the hydrolysis cycle. When applied via impregnation, the stabilizer remains embedded within the material, providing long-lasting protection from internal degradation.
Recommended dosage (compounding): 0.5% – 2.0%
For impregnation: concentration depends on solvent system and material type
Drying conditions should be optimized to ensure effective fixation
Store in a cool, dry place and avoid moisture exposure. Keep container tightly sealed. Follow standard industrial safety practices.
