Bio-SAH 362 Powder is a high-performance monomeric carbodiimide hydrolysis stabilizer developed for polyester and polyurethane materials. It is specifically engineered to address one of the most critical degradation mechanisms in condensation polymers: hydrolysis-induced chain scission caused by reactive carboxylic end groups.

In polyester and polyurethane systems, exposure to moisture, heat, and harsh environmental conditions leads to the formation of carboxylic acid end groups. These groups act as catalysts for further hydrolysis, accelerating polymer degradation and resulting in reduced molecular weight, loss of mechanical properties, and shortened service life.

Mechanism of Action

Bio-SAH 362 contains highly reactive carbodiimide functional groups that selectively react with carboxylic acid end groups formed during hydrolysis. Additionally, by neutralizing existing degradation products, it helps restore polymer chain integrity, functioning as both a stabilizer and a repair agent.
