Bio-SAH™ 372N
Bio-SAH™
Ester-containing polymers (PET, PBT, PA, PC, TPEE) and biodegradable materials (PLA, PBAT) face critical degradation challenges:
Processing Hydrolysis: High-temperature processing triggers self-catalytic hydrolysis, reducing melt viscosity and molecular weight, leading to brittleness.
Premature Failure: Biodegradable materials often hydrolyze too early in humid environments, causing strength loss and morphological damage.
Chain Scission: Standard agents often lack chain extension functions and cannot repair molecular chains already broken by hydrolysis.
Bio-SAH™ 372N is specifically developed to address these issues, achieving the triple functions of anti-hydrolysis, performance stabilization, and broken chain repair.
| Property | Value |
| Product Model | Bio-SAH™ 372N |
| Chemical Structure | Polymeric Carbodiimide |
| Active Carbodiimide Content | > 12.0% |
| Appearance | Slightly Yellow Crystals / Powder |
| Softening Point | 55 - 65 °C |
| Processing Stability | Resists temperatures above 250°C |
High-Temperature Resistance: Withstands processing temperatures above 250°C (suitable for PET/PBT) without decomposition or volatilization, maintaining stable anti-hydrolysis activity.
Dual Protection (Anti-Hydrolysis + Repair): High-density -N=C=N- groups seal active carboxyl end groups to block hydrolysis. Simultaneously, it re-connects broken molecular chains to restore molecular weight and mechanical properties.
Excellent Compatibility: Easily mixes with PET, PBT, PBAT, PLA, and PA. It ensures no agglomeration or precipitation and does not affect the material’s original processing performance or appearance.
Long-Lasting Performance: Significantly enhances aging resistance under high heat, humidity, and outdoor exposure, extending product service life by 3 to 5 times.
Production Stability: Excellent batch stability suitable for large-scale continuous production, reducing product loss and after-sales costs.
Polyester Systems: PET/PBT engineering plastics, fibers, photovoltaic backsheet films, and food packaging.
Biodegradable Systems: PBAT, PLA, and PHA systems for packaging, film materials, and disposable products; balances usage strength with degradation cycles.
Engineering Plastics: Modification of PA, PC, TPEE, EVA, and PC/ABS alloys for automotive parts and high-end equipment.
Other Ester Systems: Polyester polyols, adhesives, and coatings.
Packaging: Standard specifications available based on industrial requirements.
Storage: Store in a sealed, cool, dry, and ventilated warehouse. Avoid direct sunlight, high temperature, and humidity to prevent activity loss.
Shelf Life: ≥12 months under original sealed conditions.
