Bio-SAH CA302 is a VOC-free waterborne polycarbodiimide crosslinker and hydrolysis stabilizer designed for environmentally friendly polymer systems. Unlike conventional carbodiimide solutions, it contains no volatile organic compounds, making it safer and more sustainable. It effectively improves hydrolysis resistance, chemical stability, and durability in aqueous environments. With excellent reactivity and compatibility, it is ideal for water-based coatings, adhesives, and polymer dispersions requiring high performance and low environmental impact.

Mechanism of Action

Bio-SAH CA302 contains reactive carbodiimide groups that react with carboxyl functional groups in polymer chains, forming stable crosslinked networks. At the same time, these groups neutralize carboxylic acids generated during hydrolysis, effectively suppressing degradation. This dual mechanism enhances both the structural integrity and long-term stability of materials, particularly in water-exposed environments.

Processing & Dosage

  • Recommended dosage: typically 1.0% – 3.0% based on resin solids

  • Can be directly added to waterborne systems under stirring

  • Suitable for room temperature processing or mild heating

  • Best used within a defined pot life after addition

Storage & Handling

Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment. Avoid freezing. Keep container tightly sealed. Follow standard industrial safety guidelines.
