Overview

Bio-SAH MPET3613 is a high-performance hydrolysis stabilizer masterbatch specifically developed for PET injection molding applications. During injection molding and melt processing, PET resins are highly sensitive to moisture and thermal degradation. Even small amounts of residual moisture can lead to hydrolysis, resulting in polymer chain scission, reduced molecular weight, decreased intrinsic viscosity (IV), and ultimately poor mechanical performance of molded parts.

In addition, acidic degradation by-products formed during processing can further accelerate polymer breakdown, creating a cycle of continuous deterioration. Bio-SAH MPET3613 provides an effective and reliable solution by stabilizing PET materials against hydrolysis, acid degradation, and thermal stress.

Mechanism of Action

The active stabilization components in MPET3613 react with carboxylic acid end groups generated during hydrolysis and thermal degradation. This reaction neutralizes catalytic degradation sites and suppresses further chain scission. As a result, the polymer maintains its molecular integrity, ensuring consistent processing behavior and long-term mechanical performance.

Processing & Dosage

  • Recommended dosage: typically 1% – 3% depending on application requirements

  • Can be dry-blended with PET resin prior to injection molding

  • Compatible with standard PET processing conditions

  • Pre-drying of PET resin is strongly recommended

Storage & Handling

Store in a cool, dry environment to avoid moisture absorption. Keep packaging tightly sealed when not in use. Follow standard industrial safety procedures.
