Bio-SAH MPET3613 is a high-efficiency PET hydrolysis stabilizer masterbatch based on monomeric carbodiimide chemistry. It is specifically developed for polyester resin systems where hydrolytic and thermal degradation can significantly affect material performance. During melt processing and long-term exposure to moisture and heat, PET materials tend to undergo chain scission, leading to reduced molecular weight, lower intrinsic viscosity (IV), and deterioration of mechanical properties.
By incorporating monomeric carbodiimide functionality into a masterbatch format, Bio-SAH MPET3613 offers both high reactivity and processing convenience. Compared with traditional additives, it provides faster reaction kinetics with carboxylic end groups, enabling more efficient stabilization during critical processing stages.
Monomeric carbodiimide for high reactivity and fast stabilization
Excellent hydrolysis and acid degradation resistance
Maintains intrinsic viscosity (IV) and molecular weight
Masterbatch form for easy handling and precise dosing
Improves mechanical property retention and durability
Enhances processing stability during extrusion and molding
Good compatibility with PET resin systems
Bio-SAH MPET3613 is widely used in PET-based applications:
PET fibers and industrial yarns
PET films and sheets
Injection-molded PET components
Packaging materials
Engineering polyester applications exposed to moisture and heat
The monomeric carbodiimide groups in MPET3613 react rapidly with carboxylic acid end groups formed during hydrolysis. This reaction generates stable N-acylurea structures, effectively neutralizing the catalytic sites responsible for further degradation. As a result, the hydrolysis cycle is interrupted, and the polymer retains its molecular integrity and performance over time.
Recommended dosage: typically 1% – 3% depending on application requirements
Can be directly blended with PET resin prior to extrusion or injection molding
Suitable for standard PET processing conditions
Pre-drying of PET resin is recommended for optimal performance
Store in a dry, cool environment and avoid moisture exposure. Keep packaging tightly sealed when not in use. Follow standard industrial safety procedures during handling.
